MOUNT RUSHMORE

After being at such an incredible monument such as Crazy Horse the day before, it is difficult to fully appreciate Mount Rushmore. I would suggest doing it the other way around, see Mount Rushmore first. Anyway, we enjoyed seeing four of our country's incredible founding fathers carved in stone.
We were fortunate enough to meet Nick Clifford, one of the last living drillers of Mt. Rushmore. We bought his book, which answers all kinds of questions about the monument, and he signed it for Mason!
So far we have been through six different states!
And along the way we have met some amazing people!
Our new friends, Kal, Zayd and Sami, are also homeschooled. We traded info. and plan to keep in touch!
